Before Saul became Paul, he was a man who killed and persecuted Christians. But Jesus decided to use Saul as a witness to His power and appeared to him in a blinding light. Saul could not deny that Jesus was the Son the God, and he became a faithful Christian and changed his name to Paul. We may think that a man like Saul had sinned too much to be forgiven, but God forgives even the worst of sins.
